The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Helen Markley can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Camping

I have not lived in West Virginia for 38 years, but I will never forget Helen Sue's wonderful, loving, good-natured personality. She & Jim were part of the Stout and Montgomery camping trips to Sutton Lake. Of course, my family saw the Markleys at different gatherings in Lewis County. I adored her. She was always so kind to me - and never seemed bothered that a little girl would want some quality time with her. She had a beautiful smile and I will always admire her.
