The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Ralph Allen can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Ralph and I were friends for over 55 years. We went through USAF training at Keesler AFB, served together in Scotland, and later found ourselves working together in civilian assignments Stateside and in Europe and Southeast Asia. We worked, golfed, laughed and even drank a few beers (on occasion). After retirement, we remained in touch and hosted him at times during his visits to Florida. He always called me Duggas (I never knew why), and I always called him Lalph (The Southeast Asian pronunciation of his name). He was a dear, dear friend and colleague with whom I share too many memories to ever forget. Our deepest sympathy and condolences to the family. His final tour is finished now. May he Rest In Peace at last. For The Good Times, Lalph, For The Good Times.

I first met Ralph 1975 as we both entered a special Agency field operations program. Over the next 40 years we developed a special friendship based on our devotion to our job, West Virginia and Texas state history, American Patriotism and Pride....and countless memories (stories) Africa, Southeast Asia and stateside assignments. We made several visits to his retirement home in Jane Lew. He visited Spring Branch a few years ago and very much enjoyed spending a day in Luckenbach, Texas. Our Family joins all his friends in recognizing his many years of service to our country, and extending our condolences to his Family for their loss. RIP El Duque Grande!
