I am an old high school friend of Carolyn's and have also known Larry both through Bennett's and as a friend of my brother Dan's.
I am so saddened by the loss of Larry, an icon in Weston, just as Bennett'sFirestone is. I think of the pain his family has suffered and I want to reach out to Carolyn in particular and offer my sincerest sympathy and say if there is anything you might need don't hesitate to call on me.
As for a story about Larry, I remember when my mother, June Gooding, passed away in the summer of '07 we held a memorial service at the Episcopal church. It consisted of service, dinner, music and videos of her entire life.
Larry provided all the equipment for that service from Bennett's Firestone. He was very gracious in doing it and made the whole experience so much more pleasant. He would not allow my brother or myself to pay for it though. He just said, " hey it's you mom, the least I could do." I have never forgotten his kindness shown to our family that day. So may he be at peace now, and may the peace of all understanding somehow one day comfort his family. Diana Gooding
