Shada G. Simmons Kayser, died Monday, June 27, 2016 at Bethany Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Albemarle, NC.Mrs. Kayser was born June 4, 1921 in Gilmer County, West Virginia to the late Ira and Esta (Smith) Simmons. She was also preceded in death by her husband; Kenneth S. Kayser; son Kenneth R. Kayser; granddaughter, Katherine Lynn Richards Kimberlin; five brothers and a twin sister.

Survivors include daughter; Barbara Kayser Richards and husband Hoy M. "Mack" of New London, NC; two grandsons, Michael Ray Richards and wife Toy of Uncasville, CT and Kenneth Scott Kayser of Weston, WV; seven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

Shada was a member of Doyle Chapel United Methodist Church from the time of her marriage on April 28, 1942 to Kenneth Sterling Kayser. She was a homemaker who loved her Lord Jesus Christ, her church, family, friends and music. She was known for her sweet smile and gentle ways.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM, Friday, July 1, 2016, at Doyle Chapel United Methodist Church, Alum Bridge, WV. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the church sanctuary officiated by Rev Ronald C. Brown. Burial will follow at the Woofter Cemetery in Alum Bridge, WV.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Doyle Chapel United Methodist Church c/o Mrs. Mary K. Davisson, 12319 US Highway 33 West, Alum Bridge, WV 26321.
