Richard Lee  Daugherty
Richard Lee Daugherty, 84, of 6918 Churchville Road Camden passed away on Monday, November 30, 2015 in Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital of Weston following an extended illness. He was born in Upshur County on December 22, 1930: son of the late Dallas John Daugherty and Pauline Marie (Brooks) Daugherty.
Mr. Daugherty is survived by two daughters: Patricia Bishop and Joyce Rosales both of Pampa, Texas, five sons: Roger Daugherty of Pampa, Texas, Allen Daugherty of Weston, Rick Daugherty of Pampa, Texas, Jerry Daugherty of Martinsburg, WV and Tim Daugherty of Apopka, Florida and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers: David (Linda) Daugherty of Lost Creek, Gary (Carolyn) Daugherty of Clarksburg and Bill (Carla) Daugherty of Jane Lew, one sister: Margaret Davis of Jane Lew, one sister-in-law: Barbara Daugherty of Jane Lew and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by one son: Kenneth Daugherty, one brother: Ron Daugherty and two sisters: Kathleen Kolb and Joyce Daugherty.
Mr. Daugherty retired from the Weston State Hospital, where he first worked with the Dairy and then moved to the kitchen as a cook. Richard was a Methodist by faith. His hobbies included hunting and fishing. Mr. Daugherty was a veteran of the United States Army serving as a corporal. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Russell Furr officiating. Interment will follow services in the Friendship Cemetery of Berlin Community, WV. The United States Army and the Lewis County Honor Guard will conduct full military honors.
