Obituary for Oran G. Sprouse

Oran  G.  Sprouse
Oran G. Sprouse, 80, of Camden Avenue Weston passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017 at his home following an extended illness. He was born in Hurst, WV on March 14, 1936: son of the late Sarah (West) Sprouse and Nathan Goff Sprouse. On March 14, 2009, he married Wilma (Clem) Sprouse, who preceded him in death on January 1, 2013.
Mr. Sprouse is survived by two daughters: Linda (Ernest) James of Weston and Tresa (Sam) Dean of Weston, two sons: Rick (Pam) Clem of Weston and Roger L. “Tojoe” Clem and companion: Dee Dee Farnsworth of Weston, grandchildren: Chasity, Bubby, Donna, Amanda, Jeremy, Roger “Woody”, Kari, Todd, Donald, Kista and Kyle, and great-grandchildren: Makeena, Megan, Madison Metz, Lucas & Jackson Queen, Haven & Logan Clem, Kenzie & Haleigh Gump, Braylnn Clem, Carter, Cabe, & Cameron Clem, Brody, Shyanna, & Gavin James. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Wilma, Oran was preceded in death by one daughter: Lisa Ferrell, two brothers: Robert and Ray Sprouse and four sisters: Virginia Burke, Faye Cutright, Cecelia Moneypenny and Mona Dennison.
Mr. Sprouse was a mason and worked in construction. He was a jokester and fun loving. He enjoyed playing card games. But his greatest love was family and especially his grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Monday, February 13, 2017 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Mike Riffle officiating. Interment will follow services in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens of Jane Lew, WV. On-line condolences and life stories in memory of Oran may be expressed at hardman-palettifuneralhome.com.
