Marjorie Ann Cook, 81, of 124 E. First Street Weston passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2015 in Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital of Weston following an extended illness. She was born in Lewis County on May 18, 19 34: daughter of the late Garner Thoms and Lelia (Atchison) Thoms.
Mrs. Cook is survived by one daughter: Kimberlee Cook of Weston, two grandchildren: Kyle and Troy Cook of Weston and one great grandchild: Kyra Cook of Roanoke. She is survived by two brothers: Butch (Carol) Thoms of Weston and Tom (Donna) Thoms of Ohio, two sisters: Judy Kay (Mike) Huntz of Weston and Donna (Butch) Bowman of Louisiana, one daughter-in-law: Cindy Cook of Weston and one sister-in-law: Jenette Thoms of Sistersville. Marjorie is also survived by several nieces and nephews. .In addition to her parents, Morjorie was preceded in death by one son: Danny Cook and two brothers: Bill and Sonny Thoms.
Mrs. Cook was a employee with the Department Health and Human Resources of Weston. She was a graduate of Weston High School with the class of 1952. Marjorie was an avid reader. She was a protestant by faith.
At Marjorie’s request, there will be a graveside service on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens of Jane Lew with Pastor Jerry Bean officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. On-line condolences and life stories in memory of Marjorie may be expressed at hardman-palettifuneralhome.com.
