Lelah M.  Daugherty (Goldsmith)
Lelah M. Daugherty, 82, of Churchville Road Camden passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 in Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital of Weston following an extended illness. She was born in Lewis County on January 1, 1934: daughter of the late Henry Goldsmith and Mary (Patterson) Goldsmith. Lelah shared her life for over 60 years with Richard Daugherty.
Mrs. Daugherty is survived by seven children: Patricia Bishop of Pampa, TX, Joyce Rosales of Pampa, TX, Roger Daugherty of Pampa, TX, Allen Daugherty of Weston, Rick Daugherty of Pampa, TX, Jerry Daugherty of Martinsburg, WV, and Tim Daugherty of Apoka, FL and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother: John Goldsmith of Jane Lew and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Lelah was preceded in death by one son: Kenneth Daugherty and several brothers and sisters.
Lelah was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing the piano and sang from hymnals. Her hobbies included making crafts and tenderly caring for her flowers and plants. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Saturday, July 2, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Clifford West officiating. Interment will follow services in the Friendship Cemetery of Jane Lew, WV. On-line condolences and life stories in memory of Lelah may be expressed at hardman-palettifuneralhome.com.
