Obituary for Larry Lynn Greenlief

Larry  Lynn  Greenlief
Larry Lynn Greelief, 75, of Kitson Street Weston passed away on Monday, February 13, 2017 at his home following an extended illness. He was born on January 15, 1942: son of the late Ted Greenlief and Alma (Sprouse) Greenlief. On October 17, 1964, he married Mary E. (Brannon) Greenlief, who survives.
Mr. Greenlief is also survived by two sons: Chad L. (Kim) Greenlief of Jackson Mill and Travis Greenlief of Weston and four grandchildren: Cory Greenlief, Trent Greenlief, Alexis Rumbach and Bryson Greenlief. He is also survived by five sisters: Mary Sue (Walter) Roe of St Marys, ID, Patricia (Ken) Clutter of Canton, OH, Betty Wright of Glenville, Phyllis (Leon) Starkey of Glenville and Nancy (Tom) Minney of Cox’s Mill, WV and several loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by two sisters: Joyce Minney and Wanda Boggs and three brothers: William, Fred and Jack Greenlief.
Mr. Greenlief was retired from staff management with Weston State Hospital. He was a graduate of Tanner High School and attended Glenville State College. Mr. Greenlief was a former member of the Weston Jaycees and a member of the Loyal Order of Moose of Weston, Weston Lion’s Club and the Downtown Athletic Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing baseball and was a super basketball player. Larry was a longtime Lewis County sports fan and supporter.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Kenny Fisher officiating. Interment will follow services in the Cedarville Cemetery. On-line condolences and life stories in memory of Larry may be expressed at hardman-palettifuneralhome.com.
