John Henry Cavins, Jr., 66, of Weston passed away on Friday, January 6, 2012 in Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital of Weston following an extended illness. He was born in Weston on November 12, 1945: son of the late John Henry Cavins and Mary Louisa (Marsh) Cavins. On June 17, 1966, he married Darleen (Cavallier) Cavins, who survives.
Mr. Cavins is also survived by two sons: Jerry Lee(Gelah) Cavins of Buckhannon and Randal James (Trinka) Cavins of Orlando, nine grandchildren: Heather Renae Cavins, Jerry Lee Cavins, Jr., Jeffrey Champion, Johnathan Anthony Cavins, Jordan Andrew Cavins, Michelle Shackleford, Kayla Allison Cavins, Danielle Nicole (Trevor) Mowery and Joshua Randal Cavins and two great grandchildren: Landon James Cavins and Cameron Dean Mowery. Also surviving is one sister Sue Mattingly, one brother-in-law: Buck and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents John was preceded in death by one brother: Hubert Cavins, one sister: Jane Rohrbough and one niece.
Mr. Cavins retired from the Weston Sanitary Board with 36 years of service. He enjoyed mowing, gardening and working around the house. John loved NASCAR and spending time with his family.
