Ida Mae  Webb (Claypoole)
Ida Mae Webb, 96, of Toms Run Road, Roanoke passed away on Monday, January 23, 2017 at her home following a brief illness. She was born on February 14, 1919: daughter of the late Spaulding Claypoole and Alice (Riffle) Claypoole.
Ida Webb survived by one daughter: Laura Mae Wimer and two sons: Wilbert Ralph Webb and Michael Ray Webb and Veronica. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren: John David Wimer, Terri Lynn Bubnar, Samuel Lee Wimer, Robert Wayne Wimer, David Oren Webb, Ella Mae Heffner and Kayla Webb, 21 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Ida was preceded in death by one daughter: Mary Alice Watson, one grandson: Teddy Jason Yeager, four brothers: Roy, Noy, Ray and Everett Claypoole and two sisters: Belle and Maude.
Ida was a homemaker. She was a loving, wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her. She loved to raise a garden, can her own food, cook and bake goodies for her family. She rarely took any kind of medicine. She was a Richard Simmons fan where she lost a lot of weight exercising right along with him daily. Ida would walk around town when she lived in Weston to exercise and rarely ate food with salt. She was a fan of the local produce house where she produced her fruits and veggies.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 11 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1p.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Quint Pitts officiating. Interment will follow services in the Friendship Cemetery of Jane Lew, WV. On-line condolences and life stories in memory of Ida may be expressed at hardman-palettifuneralhome.com.
