Harold Junior  Knight Sr.
Harold Junior Knight, Sr., 88, of Weston passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born in Gypsy, WV on October 24, 1928: son of the late Murray Elzy Knight and Ellen (Lockerd) Knight.
Mr. Knight is survived by four children: Theresa “Terry” Knight McCue, Regina Lynn (Davy) Taylor, and Harold Junior (Maria) Knight, Jr. all of Weston and Sherry Lee (Okey) Eye of Parsons, 8 grandchildren: Howard Pletcher, Kelley and Heather Montgomery, Danny Taylor, Ashley and Adam Knight and Stephanie and Ryan Smarr and 6 great grandchildren: Kiersten Pletcher, Courtney and Cierra Smith, Keaghan and Cheyenne Wine and Montgomery Stover. He is also survived by one sister: Shelby Rohrbough of Weston and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by two brothers: Darrell and James Knight and two sisters: Lois Knight and Helen Moore.
Mr. Knight was retired glass blower with the West Virginia Glass Specialty Company of Weston and the Dietary Department of Weston State Hospital as a cook. He attended Broad Street United Methodist Church of Weston. Harold enjoyed farming and gardening. He especially loved his grandchildren and enjoyed interacting with his buddy, Brett. Mr. Knight was a veteran of the United States Army serving as a corporal as an electrician.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Sunday, November 6, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 7, 2016 at 11 a.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Richard Justice officiating. Interment will follow services in the Weston Masonic Cemetery of Weston, WV. Full military honors will be conducted by the United States Army and the Lewis County Honor Guard.
