Ernestine ""Teenie""  Godfrey (McNemar)
Ernestine “Teenie” Godfrey, 84, of Weston passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017 in Crestview Nursing Home of Jane Lew following an extended illness. She was born on July 5, 1933: daughter of the late Edward McNemar and Necie (Skinner) McNemar. On December 23, 1950, she married Hadden Eugene “Bud” Godfrey, who preceded her in death on April 8, 2017.
Ernestine is survived by one son: Steven Eugene Godfrey, Sr. and wife Lula Belle of Sand Fork, five grandchildren: Jeff Keith (Susan), Steven Godfrey, Jr. (Tina), Aaron Godfrey, Joshua Godfrey and Crystal Conrad (James), thirteen great grandchildren: Steven Eugene “Trey" Godfrey, III (Mary), Kathern Keith, Alex Conrad, Kylie Godfrey, Addison Godfrey, Chayton Godfrey, Tristan Conrad, Raven Boggs, Cody Cutlip, Miranda Hudson (Jeremy) Jamie Conrad, Kaleb Conrad and Elysa Conrad and two great great grandchildren: Kyle Barfield and Mikah Fisher. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Bud, Ernestine was preceded in death by one sister: Lula Belle Conley.
Mrs. Godfrey was a glassworker with the Colonial and Louie Glass Factories of Weston. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports. When she was younger, she enjoyed gardening. Ernestine will be missed by family and friends.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Friday, July 21, 2017 from 11a.m.-1 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1:00 p.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Kenny Fisher officiating. Interment will follow services in the Orlando Cemetery of Orlando, WV. On-line condolences and life stories in memory of Teenie may be expressed at hardman-palettifuuneralhome.com.
