Catherine King, 58, of West Second Street Weston passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at her home following an extended illness. She was born in Lewis County on May, 26, 1957: daughter of the late Charles “Chuck” Gibson and Dorothy E. (Riffle) Gibson. On February 14,1999, she married Tommy F. King, who survives.
Mrs. King is also survived by four children: Chrystal E. Butcher, Rachel R. King, and William J. Butcher all of Weston and Christopher A. Alderman of Parsons, five grandsons: Trenton Allen Alderman, David M. L. Butcher, Tyler M. Butcher, Kaleb S. Kile, and Trevor N. Kile and two granddaughters: Paige N. Butcher and adopted granddaughter Lacey Kelly. She is also survived by one brother: Gary C. Gibson, two sisters: Dorothy L. Waltz and Debbie Alkire both of Weston, one ½ brother: John W. Jeffries and one ½ sister: Robin Garrison of Buckhannon. Catherine is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Catherine was a glassworker with the West Virginia Glass Specialty Company, a caregiver and a homemaker. Catherine loved to fish and she enjoyed gardening and quilting. She loved her family and will be greatly missed.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 3 p.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Randall Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens of Jane Lew, WV. On-line condolences and life stories in memory of Catherine may be expressed at hardman-palettifuneralhome.com.
