Obituary for Carl Francis Foster

Carl Francis  Foster
Carl Francis Foster, 85, of 110 Virginia Avenue Weston passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born on January 16, 1930: son of the late Homer Foster and Ocie Pearl (Bennett) Foster. On March 7, 1953, he married Threca Isabelle (Rohrbough) Foster, who survives.
Mr. Foster is also survived by one daughter: Brenda (Stephen) Marquess of Winchester, VA and two sons: Francis (Carla) Foster and Larry (Linda) Foster both of Weston. He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Jason Foster, Julie Foster, Jennifer Lemons, Clavel Foster, Andrew Foster, Chris Marquess and Jeff Marquess, five great grandchildren: Ada Grace Foster, Josiah Heiney, Camden Marquess, Cody McCorkill and Dylan Heiney, one great great granddaughter: Mackenzie McCorkill and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by one great granddaughter: Hannah Cook, four brothers: Brannon, Russell, Randall and Blaine Foster and two sisters: Garnett Cutright and Nellie Knight.
Mr. Foster was a glassworker with the West Virginia Glass Specialty Company of Weston. He was a lifetime member of the Stonecoal Lake Fishing Club. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and woodworking. He was a Methodist by faith. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Friday, December 11, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Bob King officiating. Interment will follow services in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens of Jane Lew, WV. On-line condolences and life stories in memory of Carl may be expressed at hardman-palettifuneralhome.com.
