Obituary for Barry Linn Lattea

Barry Linn Lattea
Barry Linn Lattea, age 51, was called home to his mansion in the sky on May 26, 2018. Barry was born on November 29, 1966, the son of Dana and Catherine Lattea. Barry is survived by both parents who deeply mourn the loss of their son. Barry temporarily leaves behind his wife, Pam, of 26 years. Barry and Pam were married on November 10, 1991 and were blessed with one daughter, Sierra Dawn Lattea Sawyers, born on April 25, 1992. Barry adored watching his daughter grow into a beautiful woman and was honored to walk his baby girl down the aisle on October 14, 2012 at her wedding to Dwight Sawyers, lovingly referred to as home boy by Barry. The arrivals of two beautiful grandbabies were Barry’s happiest moments and they quickly became his reasons for life. Barry was so proud to be a Papaw. The love and bond he shared with his granddaughters, Brylee and Emmy, were instantly visible by all. Those little angels had Papaw wrapped around his little finger and he loved every second with them. Barry’s grandmother, Lorema Bonnett Winemiller, was the bedrock of his faith and served as an inspiration throughout his life. Barry is survived by two brothers, Dana Lee Lattea and Terry Lattea, and also one baby sister, Cathie Metz. He had two sister-in-laws, Wanita Lattea and Gigi Lattea, and one brother-in-law, Kevin Metz. All family mentioned along with a large extended family of nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles know that they will be reunited with their beloved Barry again one day. The family relies on their faith to help them grieve, remember, and love until they are all reunited in their forever home. The Lord’s Prayer comforts the family during this difficult time.
Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed by thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 4-7 p.m. Private graveside services will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens of Jane Lew, WV with Pastor Randy Wagoner officiating.
