Christopher Brian Tamlyn, 58, of Little Bull Run Glenville passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017 at his home following a brief illness. He was born in Toledo, OH on April 29, 1958: son of the late Edward J. Tamlyn and Cornelia (Ferguson) Tamlyn. A companion of 33 years survives, Penny (Baldwin) Tamlyn of Glenville, WV.
Mr. Tamlyn is survived by five children: Amanda (Jason) McCauley of Jarvisburg, NC, Amber (John) Wrobel of Manhattan, IL, Mayme (Justin) Layfield of Weston, Catherine Tamlyn of Sutton and Clinton Berthel of Glenville and eight grandchildren: Bethany, Jordan, Jason, Elanie, DJ, Bailee, Eli and Fiona. He is also survived by three siblings: Edward Tamlyn of Huntington, Louise Tamlyn of Toledo, OH and Mary Jones of Huntington and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Tamlyn was preceded in death by one brother: Thomas Tamlyn.
Mr. Tamlyn was a lineman with a cable company and a general laborer. Christopher graduated from Buffalo High School and later received a degree in Horticulture. He ran a Greenhouse and loved the outdoors. He liked music, loved playing the drums and enjoyed a party.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. from St Patrick Catholic Church of Weston with Father Pat Wash as celebrant. Interment will follow mass in the Peterson Cemetery of Weston, WV. On-line condolences and life stories in memory of Christopher may be expressed at hardman-palettifuneralhome.com.
