Obituary for Karen Sue Kerns (Kerns)

Karen Sue Kerns (Kerns)
Karen Sue "Susie" Kerns, daughter of the late Harold and Juanita (Hinter) Kerns, was born December 27, 1956, in Elyria, Ohio. She passed into the arms of her heavenly father on Wednesday evening, November 9th. She was a graduate of Lewis County High School. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jim Kerns and Robert Paul. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her family, friends and one surviving sister, Jo Ann Finnimore, of Oviedo, Florida. Several nieces and nephews are also part of the family circle that she loved so dearly.
Karen Sue's life can best be described in three words….FAITH, LOVE AND LAUGHTER.
Her FAITH brought her great joy and she shared the word not only when she would occasionally bring forth the Sunday message at her home church, Bendale United Methodist Church, but also when she taught Sunday School. She also walked the faith, living a life that glorified her faith and she shared her love of God whenever and wherever she could….both in church on Sunday morning and throughout the week. Her Christian life was as beautiful as the smile she shared with everyone she met, and her influence will remain forever in the lives of all who knew her.
Her ability to LOVE so generously, was apparent to all who met her. Both lifelong and new friends, and the family, knew her love was a gift that they shall always cherish and keep forever in their hearts. She was the epitome of giving, without asking for anything in return…..loving unconditionally.
LAUGHTER was so very important to her…..taking life one day at a time and never letting the sun set without looking back at the day and knowing she made someone smile or even better, making them laugh at a story that she told. The family….and friends….will miss those wonderful times; however, they are now cherished memories…..a true legacy of faith, love and laughter.
