Estell  Stewart
Estell Stewart, 91, of Weston, WV passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 in Colonial Place of Elkins, WV following an extended illness. He was born in Leitchfield, KY on August 9, 1925: son of the late Willis Stewart and Pollie (Duvall) Stewart. In 1945, he married Myrtle Frances (Rodgers) Stewart, who preceded him in death on August 30, 1995.
Mr. Stewart is survived by three children: Joyce (Norman) Rohr of Buckhannon, WV, Marcia (Rick) Stewart-Kizer of Springboro, OH and Marvin (Judith) Stewart of Weston, four grandchildren: Amy Queen, Cary Smith, Rebecca Donaldson and Emmalee Kemper and five great grandchildren: Maggie and Grace Queen, Colton and Coby Smith and Brody Donaldson. He is also survived by two brothers: Milton Stewart of Sun Prairie, WI and Eugene Stewart of Carmi, IL and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife Myrtle, Estell was preceded in death by one son: Paul Stewart (1998), two brothers: Bill and Earl Stewart and one sister: Mildred Stewart.
Estell Stewart was born in Leitchfield, Kentucky, eldest son of four boys and 1 girl to a farmer whom later moved their family to Carmi, IL. Estell worked on farms with his father from childhood to young adult before starting the Oil & Gas business from Illinois to West Virginia finally ending with his retirement from being owner and operator of Allegheny Tank Services of Weston. He was a 65 year member of the Grand Masonic Lodge # 272 AF & A of Carmi, IL.
Family and friends will be received at the Cook Funeral Chapel 101 Edgewood Lane Carmi, IL 62821 on Saturday, November 5, 2016 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Cook Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Mike Fields officiating. Interment will follow services in the Kuykendall Cemetery of White County, IL. On-line condolences and life stories in memory of Estell may be expressed at hardman-palettifuneralhome.com.
