Obituary for Joseph Emory Riffle
Joseph Emory Riffle, 68, of N. River Avenue Weston passed away on August 16, 2016 at his home following a sudden illness. He was born in Clarksburg on May 27, 1948: son of the late Glenn Friday “Bo” Riffle and Opal Elizabeth (Wimer) Riffle.
Joseph is survived by three siblings: Noel Patrick Finnigan of Cleveland, OH, Gary Glenn Riffle of Austin, TX and Bernice Ross (Riffle) Traweek of Shreveport, LA and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by one brother: Stephen Riffle and one sister: Nina Riffle.
Mr. Riffle was a supply Tech with the United States Army serving 16 years including a tour in Vietnam. He attended the Message of Life Tabernacle of Weston, WV. Joseph enjoyed gardening.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Saturday, August 20, 2016 from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 12 noon from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Bob Hoover officiating. Interment will follow services in the Orlando Cemetery of Orlando, WV. On-line condolences and life stories in memory of Joseph may be expressed at hardman-palettifuneralhome.com.
