Edith Dawn Marple, 84, of Weston passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at her home following a sudden illness. She was born in Sutton on March 23, 1931: daughter of the late Richard V. Norman and Cassie L. (Crites) Norman. Edith was married to Dana Maynard Marple, who preceded her in death on July 24, 2004.
Mrs. Marple is survived by one daughter: Jennifer Dawn Marple of Florida. In addition to her parents and husband, Dana, Mrs. Marple was preceded in death by one sister: Jan Swiger.
Mrs. Marple was a glass cutter at a local glass factory. She was a member of the Waldeck United Methodist Church of Weston. Her favorite hobby was reading.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Russell Furr officiating. Interment will follow services in the Mitchell Cemetery of Roanoke, WV. On-line condolences and life stories in memory of Edith may be expressed at hardman-palettifuneralhome.com.
