Ramona “Peggy” West, 84, of Weston passed away on Friday, February 5, 2016 in Crestview Manor Nursing Home of Jane Lew following an extended illness. She was born in Weston on April 21, 1931: a daughter of the late George R. Fisher and Vergie (Posey) Fisher. On October 16, 1971, she married Patrick “Pat” West, who preceded her in death on December 10, 2006.
Peggy is survived by one sister: Carol J. Row of Junior (Barbour County) and one brother and sister-in-law: Ronald G. Fisher and wife Gwen of Jane Lew, WV. Also surviving are two step granddaughters: Angie Horton and husband Tim and Kim Kemper, 4 step great grandchildren, one sister-in-law: Jean Fisher and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband Pat, Peggy was preceded in death by one brother: Jimmy S. Fisher, one brother and sister-in-law: Roy and Bonnie Fisher, one sister and brother-in-law: Betty J. Taylor and husband Richard E. Taylor and one brother-in-law: Milford Row.
Peggy was employed several years at Cain’s Market, Hardman’s Pharmacy and the Summit Center in Weston. She was a member of the Waldeck United Methodist Church and attended the Broad Street United Methodist Church both of Weston, WV. Peggy was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Monday, February 8, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Richard Justice and Reverend Russell Furr officiating. Interment will follow services in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens of Jane Lew, WV. On-line condolences and life stories in memory of Peggy may be expressed at hardman-palettifuneralhome.com.
