Judith Ann Evans, 70, of US Highway 33W Weston passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at her home following a sudden illness. She was born in Weston on November 7, 1944: daughter of the late Jack Hefner and Mary (Heath) Hefner. Judith was married to James Walter Evans, who preceded her in death in January of 2002.
Mrs. Evans is survived by four children: Tamela Ann “Tammy” Wiiliams and her husband Kevin, Kathy Eakle and her husband Dan and Shelly Evans all of Weston and Tim Evans and his wife Dianna of Morgantown, five grandchildren: Joshua and Mikey Williams, Jamie Eakle, Jimmy Cool and Jessie Evans and eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers: Jack Hefner of Weston, Mike Hefner of Crawford and Ronnie Hefner of Grantsville and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband Jim, Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by one sister: Jackie Crowl.
Mrs. Evans was a CNA at Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital of Weston and was earlier an employee of the Weston State Hospital. Judith loved to bake. Her greatest loves were her grandkids and three dogs: Sissy, Chi Chi and Pika.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Friday, July 24, 2015 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Ron Brown officiating. Interment will follow services in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens of Jane Lew, WV. On-line condolences and life stories in memory of Judith may be expressed at hardman-palettifuneralhome.com.
