Norma Jean Craig, 83, of Broad Run Village Jane Lew passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 in Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital of Weston following a brief illness. She was born in Lewis County on September 13, 1931: daughter of the late Otis and Elsie Smith. On July 22, 1950, she married Ivan Junior Craig, who preceded her in death on May 21, 2014.
Mrs. Craig is survived by two sons: David Allen Craig and wife Jacqueline of Baltimore, MD and Richard Wayne Craig and wife Elizabeth of Flowery Branch, GA and 8 grandchildren: Shane, Brittany Jo, Danny, Tiffany, Brandi, Angel, Dakota, Hunter and several great and great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Ivan, Mrs. Craig was preceded in death by one daughter: Debbie Dowell.
Mrs. Craig was a loving mother and grandmother. She worked on the assembly line at Bendex in Baltimore and was a bus matron for the Baltimore School System. Norma Jean attended the Valleyview Church of the Nazarene of Weston, WV. She enjoys cooking and loves helping others.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home on Friday, June 26, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Toby Dukich officiating. Interment will follow services in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens of Jane Lew, WV. On-line condolences and life stories in memory of Norma Jean may be expressed at hardman-palettifuneralhome.com.
