Obituary for Wilda Jean "(Norman)" Eakles (Beeson)

Wilda  Jean "(Norman)"  Eakles (Beeson)
Wilda Jean (Norman)Eakles, 75, of 401 John Street Weston passed away on Monday, December 2, 2013 at her home following a sudden illness. She was born in Weston on November 27, 1938: daughter of the late Harry Scott Beeson and Azzlea (Smith) Beeson. In 1956, she first married Arley Norman. On May 11, 1997, she then married Diamond G. “Jerry” Eakles, who preceded her in death on March 6, 2003.
Mrs. Eakles is survived by one daughter: Judith Diana (Ricky) Gillman of Lake Charles, LA, three sons: Robert Leroy (Barbara) Norman of Jane Lew, Terry Lynn Norman , a twin, of Buckhannon and Arley Michael (Tina) Norman of Weston, nine grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters: Leona (Bob) Allman of Jane Lew and Irene Wishman and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and second husband Jerry, Mrs. Eakles was preceded in death by one son: Gary Lane Norman, a twin, two brothers: Forest and Willard Beeson and one sister: Wilma Cecil.
Mrs. Eakles was a retired certified nursing assistant at Doctor’s Hospital in Maryland. She was a graduate of Weston High School. Wilda was Pentecostal by faith and loved to sing gospel songs. She loved fishing and travel. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. main Avenue Weston on Thursday, December 5, 2013 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 1:30 p.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Ronnie Beeson officiating. Interment will follow services in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens of Jane Lew, WV. On-line condolences and life stories may be expressed in memory of Wilda at hardman-palettifuneralhome.com.
