William Ray  Titchenell
William Ray Titchenell, 77, of 714 Cliff Street Weston passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018 in the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center of Clarksburg following an extended illness. He was born in Albright, WV on September 10, 1941;son of the late Walter Titchenell and Juanita (Marsh) Titchenell. On January 1, 1965, he married Mary Jane (Butcher) Titchenell, who survives.
William is also survived by four daughters: Tammy (Rick) Spring of Thornton, WV, Juanita “Kay” (Eddie) Thayer of Valdese, NC, Mary Ann Callahan of Bruceton Mills, WV and Wanda (Michael) Lake of Camden, WV, 16 grandchildren: Celena (Brandon) Harvey, Steven (Brooke) Spring, Billy Thayer, Mikela Cassesse, Cody Thayer, Monica Callahan, Sierra Callahan, Brian (Lisa) Lamb, David (Kelly) Lamb, Matthew (Amanda) Lamb, Justin (Linsey) Lamb, Wes Lamb, Janie (Travis) Bennett, Stephanie (Jack) Fultineer, Steven Lake and Tim Lake and 18 great grandchildren: Baby Harvey, Noah Lamb, Ava Lamb, Owen Lamb, Faith Heater, Hope Lamb, Trinity Lamb, Austin Lamb, Silas Lamb, Emily Bennett (deceased), Haley Bennett, Hayden Fultineer, Payden Fultineer, Trayden Fultineer, Zayden Fultineer, Jozlynn Lake, Kaylynn Lake and Cory Lake. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by two sisters: Willa Smith and Regina Sue Neal.
Mr. Titchenell was a retired coal miner with Grafton Coal Company. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam era and was a member of Post #4 of the American Legion of Weston, WV. William was a Baptist by faith. His hobbies included hunting and fishing. He will be missed by family and friends.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Bill Atchison officiating. Interment will follow services in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens of Jane Lew, WV. Full military honors will be conducted by the United States Army and the Lewis County Honor Guard.
