Elizabeth Jean Moneypenny, 74, of Mid Avenue Weston passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 in Clarksburg Nursing and Rehab Center of Clarksburg following an extended illness. She was born in Lewis County on March 11, 1944: daughter of the late Ray Riddle and Maxine (Turner) Riddle. On December 19, 1971, Mrs. Moneypenny married James Donald “Donnie” Moneypenny, who preceded her in death on December 27, 1999.
Mrs. Moneypenny is survived by three children: Angela Charlene Moneypenny Donnellan, Robert John Ehrig, and Mark Anthony Ehrig all of Weston, 5 grandchildren: Mark Anthony Ehrig, Jr., Dallas C. Goodwin, Chae D. Moneypenny, Joshua D. Donnellan and Brian S. Bailey and 2 great grandchildren: Caden Ehrig and Harley E. Maxwell. She is also survived by one brother: Dwayne Riddle of Jane Lew and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Donnie, Mrs. Moneypenny was preceded in death by one son: Timothy Ray Warf, one brother: Jim Goldsmith and one sister: Norma Given.
Mrs. Moneypenny was a retired psychiatric aide with Weston State Hospital. Her hobbies included Bingo, watching western movies and playing the Pac-Man video game. She also enjoyed planting flowers, country drives and going to yard sales.
Friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Friday, June 29, 2018 from 4-7 p.m. Following visitation and per Elizabeth’s wishes, she will be cremated.
