Obituary for George Frank Ash

George "Frank" Ash, 92, of Weston passed away Friday, May 4, 2018 in Crestview Nursing Home of Jane Lew following an extended illness. He was born in Shirley, WV on October 16, 1925: son of the late George L. Ash and Ota Mae (Jones) Ash. On December 18, 1948, he married Jessie E. “TuTu” (Stansberry) Ash, who preceded him in death on February 23, 2018.
Mr. Ash is survived by two daughters: Vicki Lynn Ash Hahn of Ashburn, VA and Gina Faye Ash Simon and husband Larry of Weston, three grandchildren: Jessica Lynn Bailey, James William Hahn and Ryan Taylor Hahn and one great grandchild: Hadley Taylor Bequette. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Jessie, Frank was preceded in death by three brothers: Thurman, Homer and Jess Ash and one sister: Mable Seckman.
Frank was a retired pipeline supervisor with Consolidated Gas Transmission Corporation. He was a graduate of Tyler County High School. He was a 50+ year member of the West Union Masonic Lodge #56 AF & AM. Frank enjoyed Coon hunting and golfing. Other than family, his greatest joy was farming.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 4 -7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Russell Furr officiating. Interment will follow services in Masonic Memorial Park of West Union, WV. On-line condolences and life stories in memory of Frank may be expressed at hardman-palettifuneralhome.com.
