Gloria Jeanett ""Big Momma""  Conrad (Montgomery)
Gloria Jeanett “Big Momma” Conrad, 79, of Weston passed away on her birthday, Saturday, May 5, 2018 at her apartment following an extended illness. She was born in Weston on May 5, 1939: daughter of the late William Grant Montgomery and Reatha A. (Kelley) Montgomery. On February 25, 1956, she married Eugene Victor Conrad, who preceded her in death on July 23, 2007.
Jeanett is survived by special nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Eugene, Jeanett was preceded in death by one brother: Robert E. Montgomery and three sisters: Loretta “Katie” Dilley, Mary Lucille Queen and Deloris Jean Marsh.
Mrs. Conrad was a glassworker. She was a member of the Valley Vew Church of the Nazarene. Jeanett loved children and raised 28 foster children over the years.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 from 12 noon until 2 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Jerry Cunningham officiating. Interment will follow services in the Machpelah Cemetery of Weston, WV. On-line condolences and life stories in memory of Jeanett may be expressed at hardman-palettifuneralhome.com.
