Edward Clayton  Riffle
Edward Clayton Riffle, 74, of N. River Avenue Weston passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 in Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital of Weston following a brief illness. He was born in Upshur County on August 19, 1943: son of the late Dalphon Oscar Riffle and Pauline (DeVault) Riffle. On June 6, 1981, Ed married Wanda Sue (James) Riffle, who survives.
Mr. Riffle is also survived by one son: Clayton Lymon Riffle and wife Lucy of Mauston, WI, one step son: Donnie Hinzman and wife Clarinda of Weston and one adopted son: Bradford Riffle of Fox Lake, IL. He is also survived by six grandchildren: Alex and Max Riffle, Donnie and Haylea Hinzman and Le-Tia and Zackary Hicks and two great grandchildren: Addalee Fisher and Ava Rose Hicks. Also surviving are four brothers: Leonard Riffle and wife Connie of Deerfield, VA, Kenny Riffle and wife Linda of Clarksburg, Bob Riffle and companion Diane of Daphne, AL and Scott Riffle and companion Beth of Jasper, FL, two sisters: Patty Weasel and husband Terry of Leesburg, FL and Rebecca Riffle of South Pasadena, FL and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by one brother: David Riffle.
Mr. Riffle retired from the Maintenance Department of the FBI. Earlier he was employed in construction and the oil field. Ed was a graduate of Jane Lew High School. His hobbies included hunting and fishing.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Daniel Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow services in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens of Jane Lew, WV. Full Military honors will be provided by the United States Air Force and the Lewis County Honor Guard.
