Ilene Gay Rexroad,, 70, of Weston passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018 in Ruby Memorial Hospital of Morgantown, WV due to complications from an accident. She was born in Lewis County on January 12, 1948: daughter of the late Berthy Marie (Cooper) Riley.
Mrs. Rexroad is survived by three grandchildren: Tyauna Lough, Electa Kelley and Logan Kelley and four great grandchildren: Elonna Kincaid, Bentley Hefner, JJ Bonnell and Chase Kincaid and one on the way. She is also survived by two sisters: Delia Riley of Warren, OH and Rosey Collins of Weston and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, William, Mrs. Rexroad was preceded in death by one daughter: Jannette Oldaker, one brother: Robert Riley and one sister: Velvia Bacorn.
Mrs. Rexroad was a retired cook from William Sharpe Hospital of Weston with 37 years of service. She was a member of the Jackson Mill Baptist Church. Her hobbies included reading, sewing, quilting and BINGO. She was a volunteer at the Lewis County Senior Center.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 1-2 p.m. At Mrs. Rexroad’s request, she will be cremated and there will be a graveside service at the Jacksonville Cemetery of Roanoke, WV at a later date.
