Kenneth Michael ""Mike""  Marsh
Kenneth Michael Marsh, 61, of Buckhannon passed away on September 5, 2017 in Ruby Memorial Hospital of Morgantown from an extended illness. Mike was born on September 9, 1955 at the Weston City Hospital, in Weston, to the late Claude “Kenny” Marsh and Monica Dale (Hefner) Griffith of Jane Lew, WV.
Michael left behind his wife of thirty years, Robin, and two children; Michael “Josh” Marsh, wife Whitney, of Jackson’s Mill and daughter Kendra Jo Grindle and husband Joel, of Brunswick, Maine. He also leaves behind three grandsons: Gavin Michael, Tucker Joseph, and Hendrix Edward Marsh. He is also survived by two sisters: Nancy Stalnaker and husband Forrest of Wise, VA and Janet McGuire of Memphis, TN, two brothers: Tom Marsh and wife Kathy of Weston and Eddie Marsh and wife Laurie of Columbus, OH and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both maternal and paternal grandparents, his father, and brother Douglas Bruce Marsh.
Michael was a graduate of Lewis County High School. Although disabled for the remainder of his life, he previously worked as a meat processor and ran truck stops in Jane Lew and Ephrata, PA. An avid sports fan, Mike could usually be found rooting for his favorite teams, Pirates, Steelers, and of course, the Mountaineers. He shared his passion of sports with his family and enjoyed cheering on his grandsons at local soccer games. The pride he had for his children and grandchildren will be remembered and greatly missed.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N Main Avenue Weston on Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 1-3 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 3 p.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Clara Peggs officiating. Interment will follow services in the Miller Cemetery of Horner, WV. On-line condolences and life stories in memory of Mike may be expressed at hardman-palettifuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Marsh family.
