Michael Anthony Hager, 48, of Buckhannon, WV passed away on April 23, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Parkersburg on November 20, 1964: son of the late Jimmie Dare Hager and Doris Jo (Collins) Smarr and Frank Smarr of Weston.
Michael is also survived by one son: Michael Brian Hager of Weston and two grandchildren: Zebariah Groves and Emaline Hager. Also surviving is one brother: J. D. Hager of Jane Lew, three sisters: Pam Leunissen of Weston, Sheila Bailey of Jane Lew and Sebrina Hager of Clarksburg, two step sisters: Janie Butcher and Nancy Furby both of Weston and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hager was a farmer. He was a graduate of Lewis County High School with the “Class of 1983.” He loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors and was a WVU fan.He also loved to garden and flowers.
A Celebration of Life Service in Memory of Michael A. Hager will be held on Friday, May 3, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston with Reverend Bob Hoover officiating. Fellowship time will be held on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. service time.
