Obituary for Wilda Louise Berg (McClung)

Wilda Louise Berg, 94, of Jane Lew passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at her daughter’s home following an extended illness. She was born on Elk Lick in Harrison County on April 19, 1925: daughter of the late Frank McClung and Icie Mae (Minter) McClung. On September 9, 1945, she married Henry Basil Berg, who preceded her in death on August 16, 1987.
Mrs. Berg is survived by her only child, Sharon Povroznik and husband Michael of Jane Lew, three grandchildren: Jessica Povroznik, Michael Povroznik, II and Julie Povroznik and one great grandchild: Logan. She is also survived by two sisters: Dorothy Stout of Lincoln, NE and Kathryn Ware on Oak Hill, FL and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Henry, Wilda was preceded in death by two sisters: Garnetta Kennedy and Mary Stout and two brothers: Harold McClung and Kenneth McClung.
Mrs. Berg worked at the Archie Ellis Photography Studio of Weston. She was also a clerk at several retail and drug stores in the Detroit, Michigan area. She attended Jane Lew High School and was a member of the Broad Run Baptist Church of Jane Lew, WV.
At Mrs. Berg’s request, her visitation and funeral services will be private with the interment in the Broad Run Church Cemetery of Jane Lew, WV. On-line condolences and life stories in memory of Wilda may be expressed at hardman-palettifuneralhome.com.
