Obituary for Wanda Sue Strader
Wanda Sue Strader, 89, of Crescent Township, PA passed away on Sunday, April 3o, 2023 in Moon Township Rehab and Wellness Center following and extended illness. She was born in Burnsville, WV on July 10, 1933: daughter of the late Harry Wilson and Ressie (Van Kirk) Wilson. On October 27, 1962, she married Richard Earl Strader, who preceded her in death on July 10, 2022.
Cherishing the life of Wanda is one daughter: Susan Strader of Crescent Township, PA and one granddaughter: Melissa Strader. Also cherishing her memory are three brothers: Jerry Wilson of Burnsville, Terry Wilson of Crescent, PA and Randy Wilson of Frametown and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Richard, Wanda was preceded in death by one son: Brian Keith "Hoss" Strader, one brother: Harry Junior Wilson and two sisters: Dixie Ratliff and Margaret Willey.
Mrs. Strader was a graduate of Burnsville High School with the class of 1950. Wanda was a housewife who loved to sew, gardening, canning and baking for her family. She will be missed by family and friends.
Family and friends will gather at the Hardman Family Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am from the Orlando United Methodist Church with Pastor Alan Strader officiating. Mrs. Strader will lie in state at the church from 10 am until 11 am. Interment will follow services in the Posey Cemetery of Orlando, WV.
