Obituary for Vernon Lee Farnsworth

Vernon Lee Farnsworth, 58, of Copley Road Weston passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at his home following an extended illness. He was born in Buckhannon on October 22, 1956: son of the late Donald Alvin Farnsworth, Sr. and Wanda Coleen (Frazee) Farnsworth. On May 26, 1990, he married Kathy (Parmer) Farnsworth, who survives.
Mr. Farnsworth is also survived by two daughters: Collean Farnsworth of Buckhannon and Hope Farnsworth at home, four sons: Vernon Lee Farnsworth of Fredericksburg, VA, Vernon Samuel Farnsworth and James Ronald Farnsworth both of Tallahassee, FL and Trenton Farnsworth of Weston, and 11 grandchildren. He is also survived by five brothers: Donald Alvin Farnsworth, Jr. of Canton, SD, John Farnsworth of Ohio, Ricky Farnsworth of Buckhannon, Sammie Farnsworth of Weston, and Keviv Farnsworth of Cullman, AL, five sisters: Norma Godfrey of Spencer, Margaret Parker of Gassaway, twin sister Vera Butcher of Weston and Geneva Waggy and Gertrude Farnsworth both also of Weston and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Vernon was preceded in death by one son: John Jeffrey Farnsworth, two brothers: Phillip Dale and James Ronald Farnsworth and two sisters: Dorothy Ann and Ruby Farnsworth.
Mr. Farnsworth was a driller in the Gas & Oil business. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandkids. He was a member of the Weston Fraternal Order of Eagles #2481.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Thursday, October 22, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Ron Brown officiating. At Mr. Farnsworth’s request he will be cremated and his cremains will be privately scattered.
