Obituary for Sue Layne Mowery (Foster)
Sue Layne (Foster) Mowery, 74, of Weston, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at her residence. She was born in Weston on September 5, 1947, daughter of the late Brannon and Lily (Smith) Foster.
Cherishing the life of Sue are a daughter Tesla Rose and husband Dustin of Weston, 2 grandchildren; Dorian Cicalese and Hope Rose, 4 sisters; Vickie Jordan of Weston, Carol Snyder of Jane Lew, Penny Rohrbough of Weston, and Christine Gum of Weston, 1 brother; Gary Foster of Weston, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by a sister, Sondra Granlund and 3 brother in laws; Gary Snyder, Ronald Granlund, and Jim Rohrbough.
Sue was a graduate of Weston High School class of 1965. She was a Methodist by faith. Sue had retired from the Weston State Hospital with 30+ years of service as a cook. She loved to read. Sue enjoyed babysitting and was like a second mother to all of her family.
Family and friends will gather at Hardman Family Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue of Weston on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 from 1PM-2PM. Following the viewing, a Graveside Service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens at 2:30PM. Interment will follow services.
