Obituary for Stanley Andrew Lewis
Stanley Andrew Lewis, 73, of Weston, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born in Weston on June 21st, 1949: son of the late Erban J. Lewis and Eula Mae (Queen) Lewis and step mother: Charlotte Lewis of Alum Fork, WV. On December 28th, 1990, he married Pamela Lynn (Butler) Lewis, who survives.
Cherishing his memory is his loving wife, Pamela, two daughters: Kayla Bonnell of Weston and Amy Arbogast of Buckhannon and three grandchildren: Malakai Arbogast, Andrew A.J. Thompson and Lylliann Thompson. Also cherishing his memory are two brothers: Jimmy Lewis of Weston and Rodney Hoover of Buckhannon and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Stanley was preceded in death by two brothers: John Lewis and Bobby Hoover.
Mr. Lewis retired as Street Commissioner of Weston, a bus driver, truck driver and an insurance agent for many years. He was a graduate of Lewis County High School with the class of 1967 and was an active member of Broad Street United Methodist Church of Weston, WV. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge #1376 and a long standing member of the Weston Fire Department. His hobbies included cooking, camping, fishing, hunting and the outdoors in general. Stanley’s family and friends will miss his wit and humor.
At Stanley’s request, he will be cremated through Hardman Family Funeral Home of Weston and a Celebration of Life Service will be held in his memory on Thursday, December 22th, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. from Broad Street United Methodist Church of Weston with Reverend Brian Plum officiating. Fellowship time will be held from 4-5 p.m. to let family and friends share stories before services. A private graveside service will be held at the Rock Grove Cemetery of Linn, WV at the convenience of his family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Broad Street United Methodist Church at 210 Broad Street, Weston, WV 26452.
