Obituary for Sheila Ann Romel
Sheila Ann Romel, 63, of Weston, passed away on January 18, 2022 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born in Weston on February 17, 1959 to the late John Olen Cross and Zelma Estella (Tenney) Cross. Sheila was united in marriage to Kenneth Romel, who preceded her in death.
Sheila is survived by 4 grandchildren: Stephen Romel, Michael Romel, Matthew Romel, and Shiana Pennington and husband Gage Confere, 6 great grandchildren: Raidyn, Riah, Rogue, Hailey, Adalynn, and Gunner, 3 brothers: John O. Cross and wife Beth of Weston, Charles Cross and wife Sharon of North Carolina, and Robert Cross of Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Sheila was preceded in death by 2 sons: Kevin Romel and Kenneth James Romel, 1 sister: Mary Perry and 1 brother: Arles Cross.
Sheila was a graduate of Lewis County High School. She furthered her education at Fred Eberle School of Nursing, graduating as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Sheila worked at William R. Sharpe Hospital in Weston, the Lewis County Emergency Squad, and WVU United Summit Center in Clarksburg. Sheila had a big loving heart and would help everyone at the drop of a dime. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Fellowship time will be held at Hardman Family Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 11AM-1PM. A Memorial Service will be held from the funeral home chapel at 1PM with Pastor Ronnie Beeson officiating.
