Obituary for Sharon Delane Aylor (Lowther)

Sharon Delane Aylor, 65, of Weston went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Weston on September 19, 1954: daughter of the late Cecil and Reta Virginia Lowther. She is survived by her companion: Sherwood Lin Ables.

Mrs. Aylor is also survived by her four loving children: Betty Aylor Ables of Horner, Tonie Aylor Detamore and Missy Aylor Ables both of Weston and Tommy Joe Ables of Buckhannon, seven grandchildren: Jessica and Shawn Marsh, Kim Aylor, Michael, Charlotte and Missy Ables and Tonjae Meadows and one great-grandchildren: Abrianna Ables. She is also survived by two brothers: Charles Lowther of Weston and Earlin Lowther of Jane Lew, one sister: Marie Conrad of Jane Lew and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Aylor was preceded in death by two sisters: Sharon Marteny and Linda Stutler and one brother: Hubery Lowther.

Mrs. Aylor was a glassworker with the West Virginia Glass Specialty Company, worked at the Harrisonburg Nursing Home and cleaned homes for families. She was a graduate of Lewis County High School. Her hobbies included fish and crocheting. She loved to clean her house religiously and was always moving the furniture around. Her favorite thing though was spending time with her family.

A public visitation will be held at the Hardman Family Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Monday, May 4, 2020 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Due to Covid 19, social distancing and face masks or face coverings are required. A private family service will be held on Monday at 1:30 p.m. from the Hardman Family Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Bob King officiating.
