Obituary for Shannon Dale Wine
Shannon Dale Wine of Orlando, WV was called home to be with the Lord suddenly at the age of 50, of a brain stem hemorrhage on Thursday, February 18th, 2021. She was born on October 12th, 1970 in Gassaway, WV, the daughter of Terry and Janet (Hawkins) Wine of Orlando, WV, who survive.
Also surviving is her beloved brother Joseph Ray and Grace (Greenleaf) Wine, her nieces Bethany Renee and Katelyn Rachelle Wine, her aunts, uncles and many cousins. Shannon’s close friend Jessica Sluder and her many fur babies also survive.
Shannon was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Joseph K. and Ava (Craig) Wine and her maternal grandparents, Roy Ray and Imogene (Shaver) Hawkins.
Shannon was a dedicated special education teacher at Braxton County Schools. She loved to work with churches and other youth organizations most of her life. Shannon was taken too soon in life, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Family will gather at Hardman Family Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston, WV on Saturday, February 27th, 2021 from 11:00AM-12:00PM. Friends will be received from 12:00pm-3:00pm with the funeral service starting at 3:00PM from the funeral home chapel with Reverend Robert Moore of Cleveland, TN officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to Hope Inc. - Lewis County at P.O. Box 52 Weston, WV 26452 or CORE at 204 Sigma Drive Pittsburgh, PA 15238. Following services, Shannon’s wish for cremation will be honored and there will be no graveside service held.
