Obituary for Roy Dewayne Sprouse
Roy Dewayne Sprouse, 60, of Weston passed away Friday, March 4, 2022 at Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Hospital in Weston. He was born on July 8, 1961, son of the late John Sprouse and Goldie (Donaldson) Sprouse. In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by three brothers: John Robert Sprouse, Darrell Sprouse, and Richard Sprouse, and one sister: Carolyn Mayo.
Cherishing Roy’s life are two sisters: Janet Ware and husband Pete of Ireland, WV, and Nancy Shackleford of Linn, WV, one brother Kenny Sprouse of Weston, WV, several nieces and nephews, and several step grandchildren he loved dearly and one very special friend Mary Zickefoose and her family, whom he thought of as family.
Roy enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding four wheelers. He loved to go to Our Neighbor in Weston and going to yard sales. Roy will be missed by all who knew him.
Family and friends will gather at Hardman Family Funeral Home of 730 N. Main Avenue Weston, WV on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 from 11AM-1PM. The funeral service will begin at 1PM from the funeral home chapel with Reverend Martin Wine officiating. Interment will follow services at the Shackleford Family Cemetery in Linn, WV. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to Hardman Family Funeral Home at P.O. Box 1287 Weston, WV 26452 for funeral expenses.
