Obituary for Robert Eugene "Bobby" Lawson

Robert Eugene “Bobby” Lawson, 59, of Weston passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2019 in Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital of Weston following an extended illness. He was born in Weston on January 20, 1960: son of the late Joe Lawson and Kerrie Taylor and step-father: William Taylor of Weston.

Bobby is survived by four sons: Nicolas Lawson of Maryland, Camron Lawson and Caden Lawson of Buckhannon and Kyle Lawson of Weston and one infant granddaughter. He is also survived by one brother: Rick Lawson of Alum Bridge, two sisters: Phyllis Corathers and companion Robert Brightbill of Jane Lew and Terri Walker and husband Scott of Weston and several nieces and nephews.

Bobby retired from the West Virginia Department of Highways as an assistant utility supervisor senior engineering technician with over 30 years of service. He was a graduate of Lewis County High School with the class of 1978. Bobby was active with the Real Life Church of Shadybrook community in Weston. His hobbies include golfing, hunting and fishing. He loved to eat and play cards with family and will be missed by all who knew him.

Bobby’s request for cremation will be honored and a Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel 730 N. Main Avenue Weston with Pastor Charlie Barrett officiating.
