Obituary for Robert Sherrol Hull Sr.

Robert Sherrol Hull, Sr., 87, of Lewis County passed away on Friday, January 8th, 2021 at Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital in Weston, WV. He was born on October 14th, 1933 to the late Robert Beryl Hull and Leoma (Cutright) Hull. Robert was married to his beloved wife Joann (Smith) Hull of 54 years on May 7th, 1966, who survives.

Robert is also survived by 4 daughters: Josephine Davison of Rock Cave, WV, Marjorie Allman (Richard) of Rock Cave, WV, Roberta Jordan (Harmon) of Rock Cave, WV and Kimberly Hull of Weston, WV, 1 son: Robert Hull, Jr. of Weston, WV, 5 grandchildren: Adam Allman (Amaris), Anthony Allman (Erin), Matthew Conard, Haley Daniel (Peter) and Robert Eugene Hull, 1 great-grandchild: Freya Grace Daniel and 2 brothers: Eugene Hull and Gerald Hull. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by 1 sister: Martha Francis.

Robert was a graduate of Weston High School. He worked as a mail carrier for the Postal Service. Robert then went on to be a supervisor at the Weston and Clarksburg Post Offices. Robert served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the 474th Division and ended his Korean Service with 2 bronze service stars and a purple heart. Robert was very proud of his time in service and would talk about it with family and friends often. He enjoyed listening to bluegrass and country music.

Family and friends will be received at Hardman Family Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston, WV on Wednesday, January 13th, 2021 from 5:00PM-7:00PM. A private family funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 14th, 2021 at 11:00AM from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Dan Hoover, Pastor Dan Vaughn, and Pastor David Jesse. Interment will follow services at the West Virginia National Cemetery Pruntytown, WV with full military honors provided.
