Obituary for Ricky Lee Beck
Ricky Lee Beck, 64, of Weston passed away on Thursday, January 26th, 2023 in United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. He was born in Weston on February 5th, 1958: son of the late Jack Beck and Estelle (Woodell) Beck. On March 11th, 1978, he married Sharon L. (Foster) Beck, who survives.
Cherishing Ricky is his wife Sharon, three daughters: Tracy Glenn and husband Billy of Lexington, NC, Sherry Ring and husband Greg, Jr. of Ararat, NC and Christianne Ice of Fairmont, 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Also cherishing his memory are three brothers: David Beck and wife Stacy of Zanesville, OH, Kenny Gillespie and wife Liz of Biloxi, MS and Warren Gillespie of Weston, one sister: Linda Norman and husband Mike of Lost Creek and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Beck was a graduate of Lewis County High School, Fairmont State University with a degree in criminal justice and later attended Ohio Valley University and Harding University with a degree in bible ministry. He was a minister at the Weston Church of Christ for several years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and experiencing new foods. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandkids. Ricky will be missed by family, friends and church members who knew and loved him.
Ricky’s wishes were to be cremated through Hardman Family Funeral Home and a Celebration of Life Service in his memory will be held on Saturday, February 4th, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. from the Weston Church of Christ with Mr. Albert Farley officiating.
