Obituary for Regena Blanche Norris (Jarvis)
Regena Blanche (Jarvis) Norris, 104, of Weston, passed away on September 30, 2022, under the compassionate care of Shirley Burrow in Jane Lew. She was born in Lewis County on October 26, 1917, daughter of the late Hoy C. and Nellie O. (Crowl) Jarvis. Regena was united in marriage on December 26, 1943 to her late husband John Spillman Norris, who preceded her in death on July 24, 1972. In addition, Regena was preceded in death by her sister, Mary “Wanda” (Jarvis) Norris and brother, Hoy “Sherrol” Jarvis.
Regena will be remembered as a warm caregiver to those close to her including, Wanda, her mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, and her nieces, Melinda, Nancy, Sally, Carolyn, Shirley and Linda. Elizabeth Blankeship will forever cherish memories of Regena as being a loving and caring mother figure in her life.
Regena was a graduate of Weston High School and furthered her education by graduating from the Clarksburg Beauty Academy. She was the owner and operator of Jean’s Beauty Salon in Weston, retiring in 1985. Regena was a member of the First Baptist Church in Weston. She enjoyed golfing, singing, and gardening. Regena was known for her caring, compassionate, classy nature, and always having a song in her heart. She was very determined to live to be 100 years of age, outliving Hospice 3 times, but was ready for God to call her home at any time.
A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Beech Grove Cemetery on Valley Chapel Road, of Weston, at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Gary Garden officiating.
