Obituary for Porfirio Rudolfo Pascasio MD

Dr. Porfirio Rudolfo Pascasio, 87, of Weston, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at his residence. He was born on September 12, 1935, in Degame, Leyte, son of the late Maximo and Maria (Tulfo) Pascasio. On October 30, 1962, he married the love of his life Guillerma Macanip Pedrosa Pascasio, who preceded him in death on July 11, 2020. Together they shared 57 wonderful years together and have now been reunited to share eternity.

Forever cherishing his life are two daughters: Mary Jane Parker of Weston, WV, Dina Grace Pascasio of Point Pleasant, NJ, three sons: Perry Anthony Pascasio and wife Katherine of Kendall Park, NJ, Rudolph Pedrosa Pascasio and wife Karen of Weston, WV and Max Erich Pascasio of Weston, WV, eleven grandchildren: Joel R. Parker, Jordan G. Parker, Jaime N. Parker, David M. Pascasio, Daniel M. Pascasio, Deanna M. Pascasio, Sydney Holland, Grant T. Kelly, Olivia R. Kelly, Caroline Pascasio and Allison Pascasio, and seven great grandchildren: Marin Parker, Laila Parker, Kaleb Pascasio, Jordan and Shelby Holland, Maddox Parker, and Cambrie Pascasio.

Dr. Pascasio was the valedictorian of his graduating high school class in 1952. He attended and graduated from the University of the Phillipines Medical School in 1961. He began his career in the United States, by moonlighting in a hospital in the Harlem area of the Bronx of New York City. He came to Weston, WV and practiced with Dr. Trinkle before opening his own practice, P. R. Pascasio, MD, where he served the people of Lewis County for over 30+ years. He was faithful member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Weston, WV where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Dr. Pascasio was a member of the Society of Phillipines Surgeons of America, Association of the Phillipines Physicians of America, and the American Medical Association. He enjoyed playing golf, ping pong and later in life was introduced to the game of cornhole, at which he became pretty good at. Dr. Pascasio enjoyed spending time with his family, who will cherish those memories forever.

Family and friends will be received at Hardman Family Funeral Home, 730 N. Main Avenue of Weston, on Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 3 to 7pm with Rosary being recited at 6:30pm from the funeral home chapel. A Mass of Catholic Burial will be held at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Weston, WV on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Father Douglas A. Ondeck as celebrant.
