Obituary for Phyllis Ann Parker (Rittenhouse)

Phyllis Ann Parker, 66, of Kingsport, TN, formerly of Weston, passed away at her residence on March 1, 2022. Phyllis was born on August 17, 1955 daughter of the late Chester L. Rittenhouse and Lucy G. Jackson Rittenhouse. Phyllis was married to Roger Lee Parker, Sr., who survives, for over 42 years of marriage.

Cherishing the life of Phyllis is her husband: Roger Lee Parker, Sr., a son: Roger Lee Parker, Jr. and wife Traci Skinner Parker of Kingsport, TN, two daughters: Carol Parker Pennington of Tanner, WV and Melissa Parker Cutright and husband Greg of East Canton, OH. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Garron, Grant, and Callan Parker, Spencer Weaver and wife Brittany, Chris Nicholas and wife Sierra, Cory Nicholas and wife Lexi, and Hunter Weaver, three sisters: Judy Rittenhouse Knight and husband Delmas of Gulfport, MS, Mary Rittenhouse of Hereford, NC, and Sandy Rittenhouse Mick and husband Carl of Buckhannon, WV, and many nieces and nephews who loved her very much.

In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by a brother Ronnie Rittenhouse and a sister Sharon Sue Rittenhouse Parker.

Phyllis was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt. She loved life to the fullest and will be missed by all who loved and knew her. She attended Temple Baptist Church of Kingsport, TN, and was an active member of the Kingsport YMCA. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, baking and everything that involved her grandsons. They were her world and she loved them fiercely and they her.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 1:00pm in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery of Jane Lew, WV with Pastor Dan Vaughn officiating. A Celebration of Life will follow at 5:00pm at Hopes Point Baptist Church in Weston, WV. All are welcome.
