Obituary for Patricia Jo "Pat" Bush
Patricia “Pat” Jo Bush, 73, of Weston went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 24, 2023 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born in Weston on October 4, 1949, daughter of the late William Dawson Means and Eva Reva (Cox) Means. Pat was united in marriage on June 22, 1974 to her loving husband of 48 years, Robert “Bob” Lawrence Bush, who survives.
Cherishing their memories of Pat are her husband, Bob, son, Brian Lawrence Bush and wife Janell of Harrisburg, PA, their children Ethan Lawrence and Jovie Rayne Bush, daughter, Breanna Lynn Bush Wilson and husband Christopher of Weston, WV, and their child, Jennings Lawrence Wilson. Also surviving are two sisters; Debbie Blackstone and husband Larry of Cincinnati, OH and Brenda Lydon of Fairmont, WV, two nieces, Jessica Krohn and Brittany Oates, and her wonderful church family.
Pat was a graduate of Lewis County High School. She furthered her education and received her Master’s +45 in Education. After 38 years of teaching the students of Lewis County, she retired from the Lewis County Board of Education teaching math. She also taught for Glenville State College and Fairmont State College as an adjunct teacher. Pat was a member of the Broad Run Baptist Church in Jane Lew and a member of the Retired Teachers Association. After retirement, Pat had a passion for taking care of her loved one’s and became a caregiver for her parents, uncle, Wilbur Cox, grandpups, her grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, tending to her garden and flowers, and feeding the birds. Pat’s Christian loving and kind heart will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Family and friends will gather at Hardman Family Funeral Home, 730 N. Main Avenue of Weston on Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 10 AM- 12PM. The funeral service will begin at 12 PM from the funeral home chapel with Reverend Russell Furr officiating. Interment will follow services at the Rock Grove Cemetery in Linn, WV.
