Obituary for Nelson Edward "Pete" Toms
Nelson Edward “Pete” Toms, 64, of Weston passed away on Friday, December 4th, 2020 at his residence. He was born on December 9th, 1955 in Clarksburg, WV to Nelson Ord Toms of Weston, WV and the late Mary Winkler West Toms. Nelson was united in marriage on October 29th, 2000 to Sharon K. Kyer Toms who preceded him in death on February 15th, 2020.
Nelson is survived by 2 sons: Anthony “Tony” Scott Toms (Lisa) and Michael Chad Toms both of Weston, WV, 2 daughters: Anna Marie Stump (Charlie) and Alisha Dawn Jones both of Weston, WV, 8 grandchildren: Michael and Taylor Stump, Trenton and Daylin Toms, Kaige, Kole, and Konner Jones and Lincoln Antony, 4 step-grandchildren: Lindsey and Lana Taylor, Lucas Garrett and Daniel Davis, 1 great-granchild: Finnly Toms and 1 sister: Phyllis Henry and husband Randy of Volga, WV and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his mother and wife, Nelson was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren Tanner and Tucker Toms.
Nelson was a graduate of Lewis County High School in 1974. He was a heavy equipment operator for Lobec Company of Bridgeport, WV. Nelson enjoyed the outdoors. He loved to hunt and fish. Nelson loved his family dearly and will be missed.
A private family viewing will be held at Hardman Family Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston, WV on Tuesday, December 8th, 2020 from 11:00 AM-12:00PM. A private family service will be held at 12:00PM from the funeral home chapel with Reverend Russell Furr officiating. Interment will follow services at Pickens Cemetery in Pickens, WV.
